What I'm interested in:
- Music
music is an art medium and should not be abused.
Beautiful, passionate, moody, eccentric and full.
I find many bands repeating the same old melodies,
with boring chords. Why use three chords when there
are endless posibilities? I'll admit some of my
favourite bands can be somewhat boring, but they all
have something special. Tool's music can be cliche
heavy metal, but the lyrics make me think, as well as
are sung by an amazing voice. Sunnyday Realestate can
be cheesey alternative, but they have creative music
and a beautiful voice, with (once again) really
meaningful lyrics.
- Movies
Intricate plots, delicate sub-plots, intelligent
dialogue, directorial ingenuity. These things I
crave in a movie. We live in an age where people
forget what makes movies last. Too many people are
into fast action, high budget, sex films. Kudos to
Tarrentino, DePamala,Tim Burton, Oliver Stone,
Stanley Kubrick, and martin Scorsese to name a few.
Actors that make impressions: Al Pacino, Robert Deniro,
Helen Hunt, Denis Hopper, Harvey Kietel, Steve Bushemi,
Christopher Walken, and yes, of course, Will Smith.
Great Movies: Carlitos way, Shawshank redemption, Taxi
driver, Lost Highway, Resevoir Dogs, Killing Zoe, the
Princess bride, and Donnie brasco.
